A Grey Stone En-Suite in Derby

The old room was a good size but it was tired. A built-in bath ran along one wall with a chrome ladder rail beside it, and a long run of white gloss units with two basins and a black worktop faced it across a wood effect floor. A mosaic border ran round the room at dado height, and the separate shower had a strip of black mosaic down one side.

The bath came out. In its place on that wall is a tall chrome towel radiator, and a walk-in shower now stands at the garden end of the room, by the glazed doors: a low tray with a glass screen, a rain head dropping from the ceiling, a handset and a recessed shelf in the tile. The extractor sits in the ceiling right beside it.

The twin basins stayed, on a new run of white units with a dark stone effect worktop that also takes the WC and a tall cupboard. A mirror runs the length of the wall above the basins. The rest of the room is large grey stone effect tile from floor to ceiling, lighter on the walls and darker on the floor.
